Cause We Can recognizes that for too many families, Christmas is a particularly difficult time of year, especially for those parents who find themselves below the poverty line, perhaps raising kids on their own. The financial and emotional burdens oftentimes render the Christmas season joyless and void of magic for both parents and children alike. We believe that no child, anywhere, should wake up Christmas morning with nothing under the tree, or even no tree at all.
So, this holiday season, through the Bruce County Dorrell Young Christmas Program and Three Sheets Brewing, we are hosting the Giv’er Gift Drive, an evening of music, drinks, family, and friends, all with a single purpose, to give families the Christmas they deserve. Each year, the Dorrell Young program allows for the provision of gifts for approximately 500 children within Bruce County as well as supporting adult members of the households through direct sponsorship.Please join us on Saturday, December 16th, from 7 – 10 pm at Three Sheets Brewing in Port Elgin and help give the gift of hope and inclusion to families in need. With music from local artist Amber May, drink specials, a “Wish Tree”, and door prizes, it promises to be a fun evening for us, and a joyous Christmas for those who need it most.
